Maintaining our Commitment to Military Students: Ensuring Access to High Quality Advanced STEM Programs
Military-connected students and their families face a unique set of challenges, including the portability of academic credits and credentials, access to extracurricular activities, reduced access to extracurricular activities, and obstacles to family engagement. This webinar will highlight the power of AP STEM coursework and pathways in better serving this student population, as well as specific strategies and resources that can help improve educational outcomes. The panel features the Department of Defense’s Director of STEM Education, along with a superintendent and classroom teacher with deep expertise serving military-connected student bodies. The panelists will provide information on actionable resources and concrete tactics for empowering military-connected students and families and the schools that serve them.
