That’s awesome Carm ;)

19:11
Do you have a list of the ISTE certified educators in each state?

19:20
The most purposeful, practical, and challenging program I have ever taken as an educator.

19:48
Lisa and Carla. Happy to provide you with that info.

21:02
Hey - Evo, Warm regards!

21:22
There are a number of providers of ISTE Cert, you can find their info/prices here: https://www.iste.org/learn/iste-certification

21:28
Most have discounts for cohorts as well

26:46
Great point Valerie - thank you

27:40
Future Ready positions school systems well

27:57
Waves hello to Ruth Okoye!

28:56
Agree.. SEL for students and staff is so critical

29:50
Isolationism is huge impact on kids. Anything we can do to help educators relate virtually, we should do. Relationships-first teaching is emerging.

30:34
BTW if you’re not familiar with the CT initiative to close the digital divide, check this out: https://www.edsurge.com/news/2020-12-15-connecticut-gives-every-student-a-computer-and-home-internet-to-close-the-digital-divide

30:54
Hope the new Secretary can replicate CT's strides nationwide!

30:59
+1

31:18
Also ISTE's conversation with Doug on other system level actions that states can lead: https://ednote.ecs.org/addressing-pre-service-capacity-in-ed-tech-how-can-states-reimagine-educator-preparation/

34:26
Just a comment... Since COVID has forced us all to adopt uses of technology to enhance teaching and learning, we should now go forward and focus our work on "teaching and learning WITH technology (digital, onsite, remote, etc.) and not reference "digital learning" or "hybrid learning" or "eLearning". We are always focused on teaching and learning and will better serve our communities by referencing this as such and not put any modifiers BEFORE learning. This will help combat those that don't feel "digital learning" is working. Thus ends my sermon. thx ;)

35:39
Good point Sean. We should be thinking about these rich learning experiences as the norm.

36:05
And how we can ensure that all communities have access to equitable resources that help reach that end.

36:06
@Ji Soo Exactly!

39:17
+1 Sean. (As hard as it is for me to agree with you in general) :)

41:08
what Brian is talking about

41:44
@Evo Isn't that your goal in 2021 to agree with me more? ;)

42:40
Same as last year.

44:24
Sounds familiar, right @Chris Cox

48:23
Parent Teacher Conferences are happening virtually -- it's working. We are advocating to school system leaders to continue the enhanced parent engagement post-pandemic. We also are live streaming meetings and that is resulting in more attendance, as per Carol's point.

49:34
It’s been amazing to see the increased participation in parent teacher conferences when they are more accessible.

50:52
Continue.Stop.Start is always a great strategy for feedback. I think the continue will be a surprisingly long list.

50:57
Brian --how many 5-12 graders didn't like online?

51:07
+1 on student agency

52:48
To Brian and Ji Soo’s earlier point - hearing great stories of teachers teaching and supporting each other. Opportunity to advocate for and support teacher leaders will continue. Great opportunity to leverage ISTE Cert thoughtfully to support your whole school, district, state

54:19
The governor's workforce plan that Doug mentioned: https://portal.ct.gov/-/media/Office-of-the-Governor/News/20201028-Governors-Workforce-Council-Strategic-Plan.pdf#page=22
